Meet our Elders:
Duan Du Toit
Duan du Toit became the "Lead" Pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church at the beginning of 2024. He started out as an Industrial Engineer but after a few years in the manufacturing environment he answered the call to become a preacher of the gospel. He studied theology at Christ Seminary in Polokwane and in 2022 he planted Houtkruis Bybelkerk in Centurion (Pretoria). Two years later he accepted the call to Mountain View Baptist Church. He and his wife Helena have 4 children.
Nate Bell
Nate Bell graduated from Cedarville university in Ohio and was called to full-time cross-cultural missions. After several missions trips around the world, and working full time in training baristers for major coffee chains in the States, Nate and his family moved to Somerset West in 2019 and joined the Mountain View family. Nate oversees the teaching ministries and Life Group ministries at Mountain View and manages our in-house coffee shop, Summit.
Meet our Deacons:
Luke Tredrea
Luke grew up attending Mountain View and decided to pursue full time ministry after high school. He completed his Bachelor of Theology through SATS in 2018 and has been serving in full time ministry at Mountain View since 2019. Luke currently serves as the church administrator, leads the music ministry, and is married to Brendaly.
Roger Pitot
Roger currently serves as the treasurer of Mountain View and leads on of the senior Life Groups that meet at the church on Tuesday morning. He is married to Kathryn.
John Sexton
John leads one of the senior Life Groups that meet at the church on Wednesday mornings. He is married to Dalene.
Henno Kriel
Henno oversees the Sunday School ministry along with his wife, Mirrie. Together they have 4 children
Tanner Chadwick
Tanner leads one of our life groups, is actively involved in outreach and is also involved in the music team. Tanner is married to Aimee and they have two boys.
